My experience with Strings ’N’ Steps has been truly enriching. The structured approach to learning, personal attention and guidance have helped me develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of Indian classical music. Even while learning from Bangalore, I have felt connected and supported throughout my musical journey. I am grateful to be learning in an environment that values both tradition and individual growth.

We are extremely happy and satisfied with our daughter’s experience at her Kathak class. Her teacher (Mrs Sangeeta Majumdar) is very understanding and considerate, and has always been kind enough to make arrangements, so that no class is missed.

What we particularly appreciate is the perfect balance of gentleness and discipline. She is extremely polite, sincere, punctual, and dedicated to her students. Her knowledge and command of dance are truly par excellence, and her way of teaching is wonderful and engaging.

Most importantly, our daughter genuinely enjoys going to her classes and looks forward to every session. We can clearly see her learning, improving, and developing a genuine love for dance. We are truly grateful for the patience, effort, and passion that her teacher puts into every class.

My Experience with Neel Ranjan Mukherjee Sir

I am a student of Hawaiian Guitar at Strings ‘N’ Steps Academy. Learning from Neel Ranjan Mukherjee Sir has been one of the best experiences of my life.

Sir is a master of Hawaiian Guitar. When he plays, it feels like the instrument is speaking. He is very patient and explains every technique so clearly. He never gets tired of repeating and always encourages us.

Because of him, I have not on improved my playing but also started lovingndian classical music more deeply.

I have been learning Kathak dance from Sangeeta Majumdar from 2021. My journey has been deeply enriched by my Guru whose guidance has improved my dance, abhinaya, posture and instilled invaluable life skills of focus, dedication and confidence.

Learning Kathak with Sangeeta has been a deeply enriching experience. Her clarity as a teacher, her precise technical approach and the cultural context she brings to her teaching have allowed me to connect with dance in a different way and to discover another understanding of the body and movement. She is not only a remarkable artist, but a teacher I deeply admire and continue to learn from; every time I return to India, dancing with her is an essential part of my journey.

Having the opportunity to bring Sangeeta’s teaching and artistry to my school and community in Argentina was truly special. Learning classical dance was a dream that I couldn’t pursue as a child or as a young adult. Each time I tried, it felt too daunting. I felt that I should have started when I was younger. Learning Kathak from Sangeeta ma’am for the past five years has been one of the most beautiful and transformative journeys of my life. Learning Santoor from Neelji for the past 14 years has been a deeply rewarding journey. His ability to create beautiful taans and gats that capture the true essence of a raag continues to amaze and inspire me. What sets him apart is his genuine dedication to nurturing each student’s musical growth, depending on their abilities.

My experience with learning Indian Classical music under the guidance of Neel sir via the Strings ‘N’ Steps Academy has been wonderful. The structure of classes is flexible and official communications are regularly made using emails. Much of my progress in the past few months can be credited to the academy’s sincere efforts at providing an inclusive yet rigorous learning space.
